9 Kings
9 Kings is a deceivingly good game, and I cannot believe how much depth there actually is to this game. Behind the cute art style and freaking small file size (95mb!!!), it’s a very interesting strategy game, especially in multiplayer and it’s the perfect game to in the background while watching a show or something like that. Where the game really shines is how simple it is on the surface, the barrier to entry is so low but once you get into it… it’s like a completely different game, every placement matters and bad placements bite you in the ass later. Troops scale better in different ways than other troops so you’ve always gotta adjust your strategy accordingly or be out scaled by the game, which on the hardest difficulty happens in a couple of years.
My favorite strategy I’ve found so far, in the previous multiplayer season when the golem rainbow card was in rotation, was to play as nature and fully scale my boars with 2 forests and wait until I get rainbow cards at which point I would portal BACK IN TIME to get another rainbow card, usually giantify to super buff my golems ALONGSIDE the buffs they would get from riding the boars. Legit so fun pulling it off and it’s surprisingly consistent.
